Pack Status: Active without pack status. Designated in 2024.
In early 2024, two wolves were documented using the area and having pups north of Yamsay Mountain. The newly formed pack, which uses Klamath and Lake Counties, produced 2 pups that survived to the end of 2024. The pack was designated a breeding pair and has four members.
In 2025, the breeding male of the pack was illegally killed. Unfortunately, that meant that the pack did not successfully breed. Only two wolves were counted in the winter count, meaning the pack lost its designated pack status.
