Jefferson County Areas of Known Wolf Activity. ODFW

Two wolves were first found in December 2021 by biologists of the Confederated Tribe of the Warm Springs Indian Reservation. After no sign for a while, two pups were caught on a trail camera in August, proving that wolves were still resident in the area.

In 2022, four wolves were documented in the area, designating them the Warm Springs Pack. They produced two pups that survived until the end of the year and were documented as a breeding pair.

In 2023, the Warm Springs Pack produced at least two pups that survived until the end of the year and was counted as a breeding pair, with seven wolves in the pack.

The Warm Springs Pack consisted of seven wolves at the end of 2024, including three juveniles born earlier that year. The pack was counted as a breeding pair.
