Pack Status: Active. Designated in Spring 2025.
The Tunnison Pack was confirmed in the spring of 2025 in central Lassen County. They were known as the “Central Lassen County AWA” before meeting the criteria of a pack. The two wolves observed in the pack were confirmed as LAS32F and TUN01M, a male wolf from the Desolation Pack and sibling of OR103. OR103 was an Oregon-born wolf who spent time ranging mostly in Siskiyou County during May 2021-July 2022.
In 2025, the Tunnison Pack was not a confirmed breeding pair and had a minimum of three wolves. In the summer of 2025, this pack was known to range in central Lassen County from east of Tunnison Mountain westward to near the Caribou Wilderness.
