The Ruckel Ridge Pack was designated in 2017 and is using the area formerly occupied by the Mt. Emily Pack.

In 2017, the family added at least five pups, and in 2018, at least four more pups came along. In 2019, at least three pups joined the family!

The Ruckel Ridge pack was counted as a breeding pair in 2020, with two pups from the pack surviving through the end of the year.

The previous breeding male was illegally shot and killed in May 2020, and a new breeding male was documented at the end of the same year. There was a minimum of five wolves counted in the pack at the end of the year.

In 2021, the Ruckel Ridge Pack produced at least four pups that survived to the end of the year and was counted as a breeding pair, with a total of nine wolves counted in the pack.

In February 2022, a wolf believed to be a member of the pack was shot and killed. Three wolves were documented during the winter count, and the group was not counted as a breeding pair.

The Ruckel Ridge family was not documented as a breeding pair for 2023. A total of three wolves were documented during the winter count.

In 2024, the pack produced four pups that survived to the end of the year and was counted as a breeding pair. A total of seven wolves were documented during the winter count.
