Status: Active without pack status. Designated as a pack in 2018.

In 2016, two wolves were reported in the territory formerly held by the Umatilla River Pack. Remote cameras confirmed that an additional wolf joined the group sometime in 2016, and in 2017, the family produced at least four pups. The pups’ status was unknown at the end of the year.
In 2018, the family had five pups that survived through the end of the year and met the threshold to be designated as a pack. For the 2019 annual survey, two pups were counted.
The pack had a minimum of four wolves and produced one pup that survived through the end of 2020. The pack was not counted as a breeding pair, and the breeding male was not documented during the annual survey.
In 2021, only two wolves were documented in the area during the winter count, meaning the North Emily family no longer counted as a pack. The wolves were not counted as a breeding pair.
In 2022, the North Emily family produced at least two pups that survived until the end of the year, returning their numbers above the pack designation threshold (four). The pack was documented as a breeding pair with a minimum of five wolves.
The North Emily family lost pack status once again in 2023, with only a total of three wolves. They were not documented as a breeding pair.
The North Emily wolves were not documented as a breeding pair in 2024, either, with a total of three wolves documented during the winter count.
