Pack status: Active without pack status. Designated as a pack in 2018.
The Noregaard Pack was discovered in early 2018. In 2017, the pair had produced at least seven pups that survived to the end of the year. In 2018, the pack had at least four pups that survived through the end of the year.
In 2019, the family raised at least two pups that were counted in the annual survey. One collared wolf, OR63, dispersed from the pack in late 2019 and was traveling with another wolf in the Wenaha area as of early 2020.
The pack produced six pups that survived to the end of 2020, when the pack was again counted as a breeding pair. There were a minimum of 15 wolves counted in the pack.
In 2021, the Noregaard Pack once again had a minimum of 15 wolves and produced at least four pups that survived to the end of the year, counting them as a successful breeding pair.
In February 2021, the heavily scavenged remains of an uncollared juvenile wolf were found in the area used during winter by both the Walla Walla and Noregaard packs. The cause of death was unknown, but there were minute indications on the computed tomography (CT) scan that may have been metal shrapnel from a bullet wound or bone fragments from scavenging. Ultimately, the necropsy was inconclusive.
In 2022, the Noregaard Pack produced three pups that survived to the end of the year and was documented as a breeding pair. There was a minimum of 11 wolves counted in the pack.
In 2023, the Noregaard Pack produced at least three pups that survived until the end of the year and was counted as a breeding pair, with ten wolves in the pack. Two wolves from either the Noregaard Pack or the Walla Walla Pack were killed by poison.
The Noregaard Pack was not documented as a breeding pair in 2024. A total of three wolves were documented during the winter count, meaning they have lost pack status.
