Formerly the “Eastern Sierra County Area of Wolf Activity”, the Long Valley Pack was recognized in April 2026 after consistent evidence of wolf presence in the area for at least six months.
In September 2025, three wolves were confirmed by genetic analysis at a livestock depredation investigation in eastern Sierra County. A female wolf (BEY08F, dispersed from Beyem Seyo pack in early 2025) was confirmed through genetic analysis, as were two other wolves (one from the Whaleback pack and another from an unknown origin). At least two wolves continued to be recorded into 2026.
