The Keller Ridge Pack

Current numbers: 4

Pack status: Active. Designated in 2021.

The Keller Ridge Pack was designated as a pack in 2021 on the lands of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation (CTCR) in Ferry County. There were three wolves confirmed in the pack at the time.

Since the pack’s territory is on the tribal lands of the CTCR, the pack is managed by tribal, not state, leadership.

In 2022, there were four wolves confirmed in the pack at the end of the year, with one wolf legally killed by the CTCR.

In 2023, the minimum population count increased to 10 wolves, including four pups and a breeding pair. However, CTCR biologists were not able to successfully do end-of-the-year flights or track surveys, so the year-end minimum known number for this pack was likely lower than reported, with known pup survival an average of 25%.

In 2024, the population returned to four wolves and was not considered a successful breeding pair, with one wolf legally killed by the CTCR.
